Miss Katrina was studied under several musicians including Mr Yeung Yuk-Chai, Mr Elvis Chan Tsz-Shun (Principal of Viola of Hong Kong Sinfonietta) and Mr Wong Wai-Ming (former concertmaster of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta). 

Chu started teaching since 2006.She is enthusiastic in teaching students of all ages.Under her guidance, numbers of students have earned awards in competitions and also acquired high marks in exams. She has been teaching violin and viola in several schools and music center. Besides having many years of teaching experience, Katrina also enriches her music experience through participating in many difference orchestra performances.

Moreover, Chu is an active strings player; she has been performing at the Hong Kong Coliseum, Hong Kong Culture Centre, Hong Kong City Hall. In addition, she also is a currently a performer in a number of wedding gigs and public celebration events.
