Jimmy Chiu is currently a year 1 student of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts for Master of Music, majoring in Trombone Performance. He is studying with Zachary Bone who’s a very famous Soloist. He was studied with Maciek Walicki and Ng Chung Pang. Jimmy Chiu started learning trombone and joined the School Band in St. Bonaventure College and High School since his twelve years old. He studied with Mr. Ng Chung Pang in the school.
Jimmy pays his full effort to striving the improvement for his performing skill in trombone playing. He took lesson with different world-fist trombonists like Brett Baker, Fabrice Millischer, Matt Vaughn, Domingo Pagliuca and participated in the master class of a lot of famous trombonist such as Joseph Alessi, Jay Friedman , Olaf Ott and Jeremy Wilson. Jimmy is an active trombone player in Hong Kong. He is the principal trombone player of the Hong Kong Symphonic Winds and the trombone player of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Academy Symphony Orchestra. He always appears as a guest player in different professional ensembles such as Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Hong Kong Orchestra and Hong Kong Professional Winds. Jimmy played the Colors concerto with The Hong Kong Professional Winds as a Soloist in 2018.

趙氏醉心鑽研長號家演奏,曾跟隨Brett Baker, Fabrice Millischer, Matt Vaughn, Domingo Pagliuca等世界著名長號上課和參加Joseph Alessi, Jay Friedman, Olaf Ott, Jeremy Wilson 等世界著名長號手的大師班。趙氏現活躍於樂團演奏,現為香港交響
